Creditino was founded in 2004 by a group of young enthusiastic volunteers . Because of the success of micro finance projects in the last 30 years in Asia, Creditino aims at raising micro finance funds in the Netherlands for projects in developing countries.

The welfare inequality keeps increasing. Creditino wants to make a difference by providing micro finance at reasonable interest rates. We noticed that large Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) can not meet all micro finance requests and focus on large projects. Also, some NGOs tend to have high organizational costs, thus spending less on micro finance itself. 

Creditino feels the need to act on this and supports small group of people with micro finance to reduce poverty. We aim at using our resources, time and money, as efficiently as possible to make poverty history. Creditino is active in Latin-Amerika, Afrika en Asia.

Currently projects are ongoing in Guatemala and Kenia.
